Strange skull Found Toledo Ohio 2009

Toledo, OH (WTVG) -- This morning, one neighborhood has UFO mania after this disturbing discovery.

On the 400 block of Yondota, Shirley Hansard said she smelled something coming from under her front porch. She raked out a skull, of all things, and to some it appears to be unlike anything they've seen on earth.

One young man was convinced it was an extra-terrestrial. His mom called the Zoo, the Humane Society and the police.

It's created some water cooler talk in town but it's most likely an animal skull. Police called to the scene say it may be from an opossum.

Let me begin the debunking by asking just how anyone can determine that a particular bit of DNA is "alien," as opposed to simply mutated or damaged? Seeing as how we don't have any alien DNA strands to compare it to.

The skull is split in half and the images shown was looking into the brain cavity, and the zygomatic arches looked like "the horn things"

Uhm - Im confused. Did they not say the Zoo was called and they had no clue what it was and Police were called to 100% I.D. this as a possum skull?? Whats wrong with that scenario? I dont know what it is - but I have seen many possum skulls, non of them looked like that.
