  • what took her life ,the heart condition? and im so sorry, but yet she overcame alot ,amazing, ty sasha

  • Mieko succumbed to pulmonary hypertension. The surgery to close the hole in her heart stopped it for a while, but then it returned. It's a very difficult condition to treat. We're not sure if further treatment would have made a big difference, but we wish there was more we could've done. Thank you for the kind words.

  • I'm so sorry for the passing of your beautiful little girl, but happy that she was happy & such a lovely little girl. Thank you for sharing your beautiful little girl with us. I know it must be hard for you, but seeing your posts of Mieko, you clearly have many lovely memories of a loving, happy little girl who would make any parent proud. What a beautiful little girl.

  • What a beautiful angel. Her laugh is beautiful. She had a sparkle in her eye that touched my heart. Im so sorry for your loss, but also happy for you that you were blessed to be with such a sweet miracle for four years.

  • Thank you for sharing your beautiful daughter with the world, we have just been told that our son who is due in May 2010 has a high possibility of having Trisomy 18. After all i have read the past week, its wonderful seeing that T18 babies can live more than "20 days at most" Thank you once again for sharing, and im so sorry for your loss xxx

  • What a wonderful and totally DIVINE and HOLY life she lived through your love. She is in heaven waiting for her Mom and Dad. You guys are so brave and so wonderful. I am going to share your daughter's story with our Nursing Class so we can be better prepared to help other parents and children with Trisomy 18.

    Thank you so much!
