  • From my research, this should be Julia Clavel Villodas, younger sister to Amalia Villodas (cantadora de Bomba en Guayama) and daughter of Salome Villodas (cantadora de Bomba en Guayama.) She went by Ernesta later in life and is buried under that name. I have a picture I hope to post at a later date. As always, thanks for posting. I am very much for sharing knowledge and making information available for the benefit of the larger community. ¡Gracias!

  • @mmaldo2

Cool. I've read about Julia Clavel and didn't know that this was her. Yes, I'm all for sharing information with the goal of educating no only myself, but the community as well.

  • Yeah Pa its Alex whats good?

  • @malongoyaya Not much, just work and practicing the golpes. Yo, I've been meaning to ask you if I could check out the video of Yenye?

  • The picture of the 2 ladies under the heading is of my Great great grandmother and great grandmother Leoncia y Juana Otakia LaSalle from Moca, Puerto Rico not of the Villodas family of Guayama. I have the original the photo used is from El Machete de Oggun historia de la esclavitud en Puerto Rico.

  • @malongoyaya Yeah, looks like they took a random photo from that book since they are talking about slavery, but it is misleading.
