  • Oh good grief

  • what kind of seaplane is that? is it a beaver? but it looks brand new

  • Yes, the plane is a de Havilland DHC-2 Beaver. It's not brand new -- end of production was mid-1960's -- but the Harbour Air (Vancouver) planes all looked clean and well-maintained. I'll add some additional information to the entry.

  • I would never tire of liftoff.

Signing up for aviation classes. I WANT TO LIVE THE DREAM.

  • is it hard to be a pilot, i really want to be a pilot when i grow up.

  • @iamtimmo like stunningly new. Thats why i clicked on it. Good job to the maint. team!

  • COOL

  • @dpurdue In this case yes as Vancouver Harbour and the area around downtown is controlled airspace. An interesting note is the tower is actually on top of a 460 foot skyscraper and is the highest control tower AGL in the world. At uncontrolled aerodromes no clearance is necessary however the pilot should anounce their intentions for take off and landing on a public radio frequency.

  • @JONABUHL Good thing this video is about flying, and not restoring.

  • @applesweeter 1.because flying is just like FLYING LOL 2.because they can land almost anywhere

3 being a passenger on a jet doesn't feel like flying,it feels like a bus ride

4 the enjoyment is having so much freedom and seeing the world from a different perspective, see answer #1

  • The pilot's headset... I own the exact same one... its pretty crappy but hey someone gave it to me free :)

  • @dpurdue yeah but since there is no tower they just need to ask permission from the closest business to where they are taking off. So I was once taking off near Nanaimo BC and I had to ask an ice cream stand if I could take off and the guy was being such a jackass he wouldn't let me until I bought 3 cones even though it was just me alone in the plane.

  • that's not new?? wow
