The Cheetah Hunt (Kenya)

While at Samburu park in Kenya, I saw this female cheetah hunting. She used our jeep as a visual blocker and it was amazing to watch her stalk her pey. The kill was not seen as she raced away, but we caught up to her catching her breathe and then eating.

this was my fist time bringing a video camera as i was taking still photos and just at times turning the video camera on. It jumps as when the jeep moves it gets too bumpy. So what you see here are short clips of the more steady footage.

There kill ratio is 50% for the people who dont believe it. Nothing really out runs them when they chase it and the farthest they run from is about 90 feet a cheetah does 30 feet in 1/4 a second "1 quarter second" so it takes 3/4 of 1 second to get there. They can hold top speed for upto 90 seconds if needed. They let there food get taken also because it takes all of 90 seconds to get more and the cooldown is only 1hr. They eat like kings compared to most animals of the african wild.
