AT&T's HomeManager is hardly the first touch-screen phone that taps into the Internet to monitor e-mail and dig up the latest news. But it does all that while connected to a home phone service, sprucing up what your landline can do. (Dec. 10)

  • You could get all of this already with a normal mobile phone. Landlines are going the way of the dinosaurs, this is a last ditch attempt to make landlines 'cool' again
