I love it.
It is amazing how many people just don't get it. As a Vietnam vet this is a more direct threat than Vietnam ever was and if only the world was as nice as you think it is, sometimes you have to fight for your freedom and keep the terrorist over there at bay in this case. Yes they are heroes of the first order, many volunteer for reenlistment. If you don't want to be involved that is fine, but get out of the way and let these people do the necessary.

Their has not been a military threat to the US since the Berlin wall fell, the only use your military has had is as a deterant measure during the cold war even that did not require any fighting.
WW2 is the only war in the past century that springs to mind were we are indebted to our military forces.
Any wars after that have merely been for profit or power.
