Video #2 American Revolutionary War Re-enactors - 1776 - Continental Artillery live firing. The 4th Battalion of Artillery, Porter's Company originally was recruited in Pennsylvania and became part of George Washington's Continental line in 1779.

It's modern day counter part was formed in about 1980 to re-enact Andrew Porter and his Artillery company. The club's centerpiece is an exact replica of a circa 1755 bronze light six-pound British battalion field gun. The cannon weighs 1,800 lbs. and is an exact duplicate and can fire a 6lb. iron round shot 1200 to 1400 yards.

The club includes many members from the mid-Michigan area. We have traveled in Canada and the east coast, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan demonstrating the life and times of the soldiers and their wives of the American Revolution. This video is from Sept. 2004 .

Barry Lewis - Commander
Charles R. Spring - Sergeant

NOTE: This club no longer seeks investors.
