The Monkee's "Daddy's Song", from the movie "Head". I superimposed the CD version over the soundtrack up until the spoken part, then kept the soundtrack version for the ending (since it was so different).

  • Nice job! How did you keep the audio & film (video) in sync?

  • It wasn't difficult, since they run at the same speed. But in my video software, I can see the sound for both at one time, one below the other, so I just dragged one over until it perfectly aligned with the other. But even if it was off a little, I can time stretch one of them until they matched up.

  • now if you could do this with "Circle Sky"

  • That's not a bad idea- that's my second favorite song from this movie. I'll look into it, so stay tuned!

  • @gymnastix This was supposed to have read-- "As it is, the best video of this film segment currently on You Tube is one by," etc.

I made a mistake typing, inserted an extra "on" just before "currently."

  • @gymnastix Excuse me, that was supposed to read "fine-tune." I neglected to hyphenate, the verb in this case.

  • As it is, the best video of this film segment on currently on You Tube is one by "jennabush68." But her version omits the classic scene of rock legend Frank Zappa talking with Davy Jones, and, of course, doesn't have the enhanced stereo of your version.

  • The video is a bit blurry (in the second half especially, and worse when in full-screen mode) in this song & dance segment of the film "Head, which is a shame, because the audio is so perfectly synced and the volume level very good and clear.

If it wouldn't be too much of a chore for you, I'd say have another crack at it. You just may achieve the best version of this film segement, if you can fine tune the video.

  • @johnnytheC The thing had 7 views, and the stupid WMG still caught it!
