Also... "oh they couldn't afford to fly it, yeah they suck even more".... why did we just retire the shuttle in the first place? It's too damn expensive. We ourselves are going back to multiple stage rockets.

It could fly completely automatically and it even could fly. The Soviets had special detachable jet engine pods that could bebe attached by the tail, just like a DC-9 which means it could even fly under it's only power if it had to. THe thing that sucks is that Buran looks just like the Shuttle but it many ways it was actually better.
