There's nothing wrong in placing Wu Sao high up,it provides better protection to the face. I belive one should tend to use both options. Wu Sao up and Low. Depending on the situation,both ways could be useful. Also,his Wu Sao isnt that close to his face,it's the angle of the camera that makes you think so.

Whether or not William Cheung lied about his knowledge is not important,his Wing Chun works,and many schools admited this.

@Sicarius72 WC tends to do this in a more realistic fashion. He's picturing how an attack would actually come at you, at the head, not center of the chest. He's still following all the center line principles, but this was one of the things that seperated him from the group. He didn't just do things because thats the way they had always been, look at his Chum Kui (spelling?) form and you'll see it even more, his movements are more simplified.
