I lost two years of my life. My daughter had to go to live with her father who lived hundreds of miles away. My relationship was destroyed. I put on 4 stones & had severe pain everywhere. Im amazed I held down a job. It took 8 doctors and two yrs to finally diagnose it It should NOT be the patients responsibility to find out whats wrong. HAD I been myself I would researched it but I was in a fog of pain and sickness. Shame on anyone who think this situation is remotely amusing!

if only there were more doctors like this one...i have been there and done that w the being told i was depressed, hypochondriac, etc. doctors never listening. very frustrating. it took me about 4 or 5 yrs to get diagnosed. things have got to change in regards to thyroid disease.

The doctors who think outside the box and who are willing to listen will get my respect - A good doctor will always be open minded and listen to their patients - those who don't and tell their patients that they're rude for even daring to challenge their views are a usless bunch of a&&holes - these are the 'doctors' that shouldn't be allowed to practice. First do no harm -- yeah right.

I have hypothyroidism and on medication. Can any one tell me how long it will take before I start getting my energy back.

My GP prescribed me propranalol for the panic attacks and anxiety even though my TSH was 5.9, because she said it is subclinical hypothyroidism, and the symptoms had nothing to do with the thyroid.

Great Video! I was mis-diagnosed for years and even spent over a year and a half, drugged to the gills with anti-depressants, as an inpatient in a psych ward before my hypothyroidism was discovered. Since then (1988) I was on synthroid which never really worked. A year ago I started Armour, but am still trying to find balance. Thanks again for the video.
Valuable information the planet needs.

Any publicity is better than none !!
Just want to message the world that men get hypothyroidism as well there are many of us.. more than you think...and remember this can be an Autoimmune Disease (Hashimotos's)..men women and children suffer greatly (and Die) from 80+ Autoimmune Diseases..for which there is not 1 cure !!...we must find/fund a cure to stop the suffering !
Diabetes, Graves, MS, Arthritis...etc etc etc
Oh if only we all felt that good on a bit of synthetic T4, we need someone to stress some keep presenting to the docs ON treatment, bloods say ok so they get diagnosed with being lala or having ME/FM or something else.
Diana seems a sweet lady.
Watch out for the out take programs, hernia Aemon? How ungracious. Thats what years of being hypo will do to ya, its not her fault.
