@MultiJacquan Same reason Chris Carter, Tim Brown, Randy Gradishar, and Andre Reed aren't in...the system is deeply flawed. When journalists get to govern the process, you'll have vastly overrated players like Harry Carson and Lynn Swann getting enshrined before more deserving guys like Gradishar, Carter, Sam Mills, etc. The fact Joe Namath is in the HOF while others look in is a travesty. People say Atwater built a reputation on one hit, Namath built his on one boast and a mink coat.

@funfuc ur going to argue that lol...c'mon man ronnie lott, rod woodsen, troy polamalu, n probably the best safety of all time ed reed...i think the only reason people say is atwater was the best is because he was a hard hitter thats it...he is not even the hardest hitting safety that title goes to Ronnie Lott...no debate...n im not even to get into the others bc they are fare superior then atwater...if atwater was in the game today he wouldn't last

@DSVetDad He wasn't hurdling anyone moron!!! Watch the video..he was bracing himself if anything for the hit he knew was coming. This in itself...knowing he was bracing for the hit...makes this hit even more impressive. Atwater knocked his ass backward...EVEN WHEN AKOYE KNEW HE WAS GOING TO GET HIT!!! Best Safefty EVER!!!
