Monitor Lizards are hated and reviled everywhere in Thailand. Everywhere? No! There is a small village in the province of Surin, Northeast Thailand where they respect, revere and treat them as family members.

  • . All animals seem to be hated in Thai, I think it comes from the past kill to eat. Thats why there is very little wildlife left here. I live i Issan and just see snake sometimes spiders, Tok Kae. every day Thai's with catapults killing anything that moves. I see the dog catches take maybe as many as 12 in a small cage on the back of motorbikes to meet the big boss who sell for eat. People sell their pet dog for a 100b wicker basket , very strange to me but in Thailand not Europe
