60163 Tornado at East Croydon with The Cathedrals Express

Filmed on 15 August. 60163 comes to Croydon for the Second time this year but this time going the other direction and a different route and seen in better light.

60163 (Tornado) arrives at East Croydon working 1Z92 17:56 Victoria to Victoria via Clapham Junction, East Croydon, Redhill, Tonbridge, Ashford International, Canterbury West, Ramsgate, Faversham, Swanley & Beckenham Junction. Tornado arrives into East Croydon 4 late because of congestion at Pouparts Jn.

Departure from East Croydon is on Platform 3 and departs 2 late and sounds it's whistle and creates attention as passengers witness Britain's Newest Steam Engine heading for Redhill and surprisingly the platforms were not packed out and only a hadful turned out to witness Tornado.

Nope bhind the railing which leads to the staff area. As a precaution I did put my vest on. Look on platforms 1 and 2 and they were doing it.

I was on the Brighton train heading towards London Bridge. I saw a load of train nuts at Purley Oaks on a bridge waiting. Then when we pulled in to Croydon we saw this train and saw it pulling out next to us.
