Berta Ambroz,a slovene woman!! won the yugo local comp over the more favoured male entries from croatia,serbia..boos and hisses from them. Misses the train to go to the comp, catches a taxi. Not a lot of support from the then comm country. Look at her will you.Doe eyed,perfect diction, a demure, impeccably presented young lady with grace and charm.Came 7th, would have been forgotten, yet Spain stole a few notes 7 yrs later and calls of plagiarism still occur.AN evergreen on youtube by various.

I will never understand the weird fuzz around the austrian entry in 1999. Everybody commented that it was highly favourite and bla bla bla ... it's just plain pop song with nothing to hold on to. For some reason Brita Borg ... is reminding me of Malena Erman LOL

Barbara Dex the most unappreciated and totally mocked singer and song in 1993 for no no no good reason. And becoming the reason for such a shallow award in a song contest is more than humiliating. Bianca from Germany really suffered an unfair result ... but I guess that the song would have been more appreciated 10 years before than in 1997. Brigitta was actually the only decent strong power pop song with a very nice melody in 2003. Rare achievement.
