@rhcppetar95 i don't think so.. non-battery use the 127 AC volts in your house.. these use x DC volts, idk what voltage the batteries it used...... the voltage from your lap is neither AC nor 127..... thats why.... the lap doesn't have enough juice to power non-battery lights

@bobsaget384158 My computer provides power to the USB ports when it's off, so you're wrong; it depends on the motherboard (mine is Gigabyte GA-MA790GP-DS4H).
