One of the many ways to gain the benefits of chaga, hot tonic tea.

~Since adapting the raw food lifestyle 5 months ago, I, (Laura) have released 34 pounds. Currently I am 75% raw and still in transition. A medical diagnosis of severe anemia and leukemia prompted the change from a vegetarian diet to a raw food vegan lifestyle. I have experienced immense improvement in lab/blood tests as well as in energy and overall health since switching to raw foods. UPDATE: The anemia is now reversed and cured!!!~

  • Please forgive me for asking if you have already answered this but what company did you get the cat's claw bark from?

  • @missrodnee mountainroseherbs dot com

  • Hello star flower , do you have a tip how to make a good horsetailherb tea?

I heard that it must be boiled for a long time to be benificial is that correct.

  • @isengrimm1 Sorry, I dont have any advice on horsetail, except to harvest it in the spring/summer as soon as it comes up verses waiting till the fall time.

  • Hi - Thank you for posting. I just got some chaga but it is a huge piece. Do you have a recommendation for breaking it into smaller pieces? And you think that is a good size dose that you put in? Also you said you should drink a shot of apple cider vinegar or lemon with the tea right?

    Thanks for your input.

  • Your welcome. The lemon is just for the cats claw or pau d'arco from what others have said.

You can use a saw or serated knife to cut the chaga into smaller chunks. Its pretty soft and breaks up pretty easily. As for doses, you will have to gauge what works for you. I started with several marble sized chunks per quart of water.

  • Doesn't the heat from the boiling water destroy the active ingredients in the pau darco?

  • Thanks Laura :-)

  • This chunk of chaga is soooo small

  • I'm no expert but I was watching Arthur Haines on You Tube, looks like he knows what he's talking about. He suggests getting the Chaga down to a powder, it also needs a good 45 min's hard boil to release its goodness, he also recommends a Tablespoon of it. X

  • Actually you look like you've snuck abit of hemp bud in with that tea.

No, seriously though, that would be a good thing if you've got cancer. Just look up Rick Simpson oil.

  • Never tried making tea this way before. I should try it. I've just discovered Pau D'arco, and I think I'll give it a try, especially since you say it has a nice flavour. Neem leaf is also a great anti-fungal herb but it tastes really really bitter. Hemp leaf and root would also be a great addition to this combo.

  • I know this is old...but I have been doing research on Pau D'Arco tea and I really loved it. I had just bought it out of the blue cuz of I thought the name sounded cool. One time I came on with a case of chills and fever, I took a Pau D'Arco tea and let's just say...INSTANT FIX!

  • Thanks for this video. I am trying to find my way on a raw mostly vegan lifestyle. Do you have any info on hormonal balancing wih herbs? I take fish oil. If you've seen Suzanne Sommers , David Wolfe and Daniel Vitalis on you tube, you would possibly try to incorporate it into your diet. But, I have hormonal related cancer diagnosis and hysterectomy 10 yrs ago. I'm 46 now, but have terrible hot flashes. Dr. put me on hormone replacement and I had recurrence.
