Jade is making great progress and doing well as a tripod dog. This video was taken 13 days post amputation of her front leg. She is adjusting much better than anyone expected. She 's getting stronger every day. We were very concerned about her quality of life or how it would be changed when we were imformed that she would need her leg amputated. It was the hardest decision of our life. Needless to say it was the best decision for all of us especially Jade. She is happy, no longer in pain from the tumor and is getting around just fine. Jade is doing everything that she did prior to losing her limb. She's a true blessing and is going to battle and win the disease that strikes so many of our beloved pets.

  • This is such an inspiration especially on this day! Our Dog was admitted this morning to have her front left leg removed. Watching Jade gives me great hope that our Susie-Bee will be pulling through this just fine. Jade and Susie seem to have very similar doganalities. Jades comes shining through in each video and similarly Susie has a zest for life. Thank you for sharing this and may the girls live for many years to come. Amazing, inspiring Dogs!! All my love to Jade .... Thank You! Peace!

  • @essellier Hi, I'm sure your Susie-Bee will do just fine. The first two weeks are the hardest, but you will see that she will be up and going in no time. I was afraid of amputation, but after watching other three leg dogs I knew Jade would adapt just fine and she has. We will keep your beloved dog in our prayers and hope for a speedy recovery after her surgery! In a few weeks you won't remember her with four legs! She will get along just great! All of our love to her!

  • Our Rottie, Sebastian, was diagnosed with cancer in early December... they weren't sure if it was osteosarcoma (amputation would have been the only treatment) or histiosarcoma (no treatment). Sadly, it was the latter. In the two weeks it took for the diagnosis to be finalized, we struggled wondering if we could amputate. Seeing Jade, I know my vet was right. We could have. We lost him March 30 becaues we had no treatment. I miss him terribly. Wishing you and Jade all the best. e

  • @emarco28 @emarco28 I'm very sorry to read about Sebastian and I know how much you must miss him. I was afraid of the amputation since I didn't know what to expect and never imagained her without a limb. The "Cancer" word was scary enough, but she was limping and I knew she was in great pain from the tumor. The only thing to relieve the pain would be amputation. Again my deepest sympthahy to you on your loss!

  • i hope your rottie is doing good. i am trying my best to fight arthritis on my rottie because his hind legs are weak. i hope he gets better soon.

  • Hi,

She is doing just great. I will be adding a new video this week. She has come along way and is adapting just fine. She appears to be very healthy and her herbal diet is going great. I'm very sorry to read about your boy's arthritis. A good diet, elevation when sleeping or laying down, excercise, rest and watch his weight. Your vet may prescribe some pain medicine if needed. I wish you the best with him!

I cried when I read your comment. I am soooo happy that someone else is helped by this. If we had not chosen to do the amputation, Thor would have had to already been put to sleep. We are lucky for every single day we have. Most days we have are good, sometimes we over do it and he gets sore, but then he will go and run to find is baby, then we realize we did the right thing. Please give Jade a huge hug and kiss from me. I have a feeling she is going to do very well with this.
