On March 5th, 2010 the honor of being the "First Person Counted" in the Los Angeles region for the 2010 Census went to a respected tribal member and elder from the San Manuel Band of Serrano Mission Indians.

This marked the first time in the more 200 year history of the U.S. Census that a California Indian was counted first.

This is a documentary of that historic day in Indian Country and the remarkable Native American woman who made census history. This is an NBTV original program.
