@philcourty I just recently set my kit this way and I'm loving it. The gap takes a little to get used to, but that's more of a muscle memory thing in my opinion. I feel as though I'm able to play faster with the flat set up. BUT, opinions are like...

was tempted to make my kit layout similar to this..but does anyone know if fast round-the-kit fills are affected because the gap between the toms and floor toms is bigger, compared to a standard bass drum-mounted set up? :)

@philcourty yea it affects it. the drummer answer is to practice and get faster at it. Its a strict visual setup in my opinion. I will move the ride if I play metal or tom conscious Rn'B
