|| Separation || //Jovin/Joick// {Part 2/3 One-Shot}

Later that night at dinner, Joseph sat at the table with Kevin and Nick. He dug into his food, sitting beside Kevin, while Nick sat at the head of the table.

"Sorry I don't have much," Nick said while looking down at the potatoes, gravy, and salad, "I forgot to go grochery shopping."
"It's fine." Kevin assured, while taking another bite of potatoes. Joe scrunched his eye brows together, and looked up at Nick, "Do you live here alone?" He blurted out.
Nick looked at Joe with startled eyes and a crooked smile, "Yeah. A guy doesn't have many friends when he lives in a town like this."
Joseph smiled back slightly, talking one last glimpse of Nick's perfect smile before returning to his food.

Kevin's phone buzzed loudly in his pocket, and he scraped it out and into his hands, "Hello?"
Nick and Joe stared in wonder at Kevin for a few minuets, watching his expression go from shocked, to frustrated.
"Yeah sure. I'll be there as soon as I can." Kevin mumbled before shutting the phone off, and spirinting from his chair.

"What's going on?" Joseph asked as Kevin threw on his jacket.
"The hospital needs me, it's getting out of control and they need more doctors." Kevin mumbled angrily, "Do you want to stay with Nick?"
Joe pursed his lips, "Uh, sure. If that's okay?" He turned toward Nick.
"Of course." Nick assured, "Everything will be fine. Don't worry."
"Okay, I should be back in the morning." Kevin clarified, and walked up to Joseph to give him a peck on the lips, "Don't give Nick TOO much trouble."
Joe nodded, smiling at Kevin until he shut the front door behind himself.

Nick looked back at Joseph, his eyes warm and playful. Joe glanced up into his eyes for a short moment, and flew up from his chair while grabbing his plate, "Um, I-I'll clean the t-table."
Before Nicholas could respond, Joseph picked up his plate, along with the others, and dashed into the kitchen.

Joe's chest heaved in and out in fast motions. He was alone, with Nicholas. This was one of those moments where Joe wished could just disapear, rewind time if possible. Nick stood in the doorway and watched Joseph intently. Joe scrubbed the dishes slowly, trying to buy some time for himself in any way possible.

"You know, the guest really shouldn't be cleaning." Nick murmered in a smoldering voice. He stood with his feet planted behind Joseph, and grabbed onto his hips in attempt to pull him back. Joe let himself be taken from the sink, and pulled into the livingroom.

Nicholas sat Joseph on the couch, and towered over him while he stood, "Relax. I'll work. I am the host, afterall."
With that Nick departed into the kitchen, while Joe sat un-easily on the sofa. He twidled his thumds, and gained composer of his breathing. That is, until Nicholas trotted back into the room.

Joe bent his head down to his lap as soon as he met Nick's eyes for a split second. Nick smirked, a strand of his curls hanging right over his eye. He made his way to the couch, and crouched down in front of Joseph. Joe felt Nick's finger rest under his chin, and tip his head upward. He was left but to only stare into Nick's smoldering, dark brown pupils.

"You know," Nick whispered, his sweet breathing filling Joes nostrils, "Kevin's right. Your shy ego is very attractive."
Joe cheeks turned bright red, making him attempt to hide his face. Nick wouldn't let it happen though, so he kept a firm but soft grip on Joe's chin.
"That's another thing," Nick gave a crooked smile, "You get embarrased easily. How cute."
