Olim lacus colueram - Carmina Burana - CARL ORFF

SONG OF THE ROASTED SWAN

Once I had dwelt on lakes,
once I had been beautiful,
when I was a swan.

The cook turns me back and forth;
I am roasted to a turn on my pyre;
now the waiter serves me.

Now I lie on the dish,
and I cannot fly;
I see the gnashing teeth.

  • @drumline416, It's not typical to memorize for an oratorio or concert work such as this.

  • Amazing voice. But he does need to memorize his lines

  • Bueno, esto ya es otra cosa, y encima pronuncia de maravilla; eso sí, también se saltan un par de estrofas, pero da gusto escucharles, tanto a Tarver como al coro.
