WELCOME TO THE SMALL TOWN OF MOBRIDGE, SOUTH DAKOTA. Its just your typical okie town, full of hell-raisin teens and the rentals that raised em. Friday nights, the high school students get done up, ready to get rowdy at the football games. Saturday night truck pulls get everyone up and out. And lord knows the senior parties can wake the dead, and frequently the whole town. If they even fall asleep to begin with. Sundays are met with town wide barbeques at the lakeside; which also happens to be the youngins favorite spot during the summer and on the weekends. Typical high schoolers.
Yes sir, this little podunk town is just like any other. Well, except for one small detail... the majority of the residents are shape-shifters, not humans. Oh, of course its not just here; shifters are all over the world. But only few places hold a congregation of so many species. Bear-shifters, cat-shifters, horse-shifters, wolf-shifters, and humans occupy this small town. Not to mention, most humans arent aware of their existence, let alone that the shifters practically rule this town.
But please, dont get the assumption that people are dying left and right. (Because you know what assuming does, right? Makes an ass out of you and me.) No, most shifters are quite docile and more than happy to live and work side by side with humans. In fact, most of the towns enforcement are shifters. No, its the humans you have to worry about. All over the world, groups are forming in secret to rid the world of the monstrosities masquerading as equals.
As of now, the assemblies havent reached us, leaving our small town in peace. And as long as no one knows about the existence of shifters, all will be well. But if the latter occurs,those who already know, thankfully, will certainly aid on the shifters side. The real question is, when the time comes, will they be enough? Or will they lay a little rubble?
