A man trying to fix an electrical short in his attic found a lock box full of money Friday.

The money, $100,000 to be exact, may have belonged to the former owner, who was murdered four years ago, WESH 2 News reported.

A battle is brewing between the current homeowner, Bernard Salcedo, and the widow who sold him the house.

The money is in an evidence locker at the Sanford Police Department until the dispute is settled, police said.

Salcedo said he was nervous from the moment he saw it, which is why he called police in the first place.
