The average punters understanding of a Writ of Summons, courts and litigation is limited to the weekly television appetite of Ally McBeal, Boston Legal and for those of us who grew up in the eighties - LA Law. Ask the man on the street what they think Lawyers do and the response often is Porsches and long lunches.
But is this the reality of the situation? Absolutely not. But if it is not all Hollywood, then what is it all about?
How is litigation used to benefit your client? Or if your client gets sued, how do you defend the action?
