what was the rod and reel?

The rod is custom made from a 7.5' G-Loomis "L" series 5 power blank. The real in this video is a Penn 460 Slammer.

Sweet!!! That is some crazy fishing and some nice fish. I'm dying to come up there for a couple days. I've got a fiberglass center console with a 12 inch draft. Can I get it launched and up the river to the dam without having to worry to death? What are the average depths around the dam and below it?

The catching only happens during generation and when they are generating you have nothing to worry about with depths. There is only one BIG rock to worrry about and it is above water - you can actually see it, just be mindful of this rock when drifting downstream..
Depths are anywhere from 10-30' below the dam during generation.
