www.filmmaker8.com - Your Super 8 resource! Kodak Ektachrome 64T shot using an Nikon R8 at 18fps. Internal camera wratten 85A filter was used. Telecine was performed on a converted HD Workprinter-XP with RGB. You can download the process for converting your old Workprinter to HD here: (http://files.me.com/tom.houston/ewsk5p).

From the looks of this footage (bouncing), the camera has film registration problems...

  • looks nice, it dosent have all that blue that I see in other clips, did you use an 85A or 85B? also did you set the ASA at 40? alot of people set it at 64 and it dosent look good.

  • @PARRAVISION

I used the built in wratten 85A filter and shot at normal exposure.

  • Nice footage. I am about to start shooting with a Nikon Super 8 X Zoom camera. Film grain looks even better in HD!

  • Thanks for the comment. Let me know if you need some telecine done.

  • Really great colors Tom. Gave me a very serene feel.

  • I like the imagery. Can you tell me what the song is? Thanks.

  • thouston314159 Some very nice imagery! What do you think has caused the short blowouts before many of the shots? Do the think the camera takes a moment to "get running" with the correct framerate, aperture, etc, when you pull the trigger, or something?

Also, is an 85A more extreme than an 85B, in terms of "warming up the colors"?

    Thanks!
