We'll never know if Dmitri Shostakovich would have written for electric guitar, but this arrangement of his double string quartet makes you wonder if he would have found voice for his early works in a metal band -- Shostakovich wrote these two disorienting contemplative pieces at age eighteen following the Russian Revolution.

  • Thanks @MrAaaaalex for coming out to our shows! We hope to see you again in 2012.

  • Wow! Finally a classical scherzo piece played without distortion.. Really great stuff!

  • Thanks @johnjohnjohnnnn -- dynamics trump distortion any day.

  • that's how I've felt about a lot of Shostakovich's string quartets! Thanks for fighting the good fight and advancing the electric guitar into chamber music!
