@09Jerzy Hei, don't take me wrong, please. I don't say the world is better now, I even think many times it is worse. I m very much sorry the soviets didn't succeed in the comunism, hope the generations later will. we have no capitalism now - it is all corporative nazional-socialist sistem - everywhere.except - i hope ,at some eilands we did not uncover yet.

@mikhaildrabkin I think there is misunderstanding here. I understand perfectly your russian bcouse I m slav too. I wanted 2 say better world then then. I don't say we live in a better world now. not at all, I m glad you don't think this either. Keep your Stalin with dignity. I m not throwing shit on him like the western propaganda.yes i live in the west 2 witness this.Russia is not in slavery now bcause of the western world only, but bcause it took it's values 2 follow.Nazdrovje.

But Zarema breaks free and stabs Maria to death. The Khan, in a fury, almost stabs Zarema, but like Maria, she kneels down and opens her arms, willing to die because the Khan won't love her. The Khan cannot kill her and the guards take her away. He is devastated and builds a fountain in memory of Maria - the fountain of bakhchisarai, or the fountain of tears...
I apologize for the length, but I love the ballet so much! :D

@Juventina1005 Maria rejects him and he leaves, but drops his hat on the floor. Later on, Zarema (Plisetskaya) tries to regain his attention but she fails and collapses desperately. At night, she steals out of the harem and visits Maria. She tries to explain how much she's in love with the Khan and finally tries to stab Maria. She hesitates, because Maria opens her arms willingly. But as she sees the hat on the floor, she freaks out again. In the nick of time, the Khan and some guards arrive.

@theglobecruiser The story is about Maria (Ulanova),daughter of a polish nobleman who is taken away by Khan Gisrey, who assailed her family during a ball held for Marias engagement with young nobleman Vaslav. During the fight Vaslav is killed by Khan Gisrey who then, enchanted by her beauty, hijacks Maria and takes her to Bakhchisarai Palace, his home. Zarema, his harem favourite and who is deeply in love with him, awaits them. However, Khan Gisrey ignores her and tries to make Maria love him.

This is a very good quality clip of this great ballet scene. To see Ulanova and Plisetskaya together is a real joy. Both are perfection in their own style. Ulanova's dancing is just breathtaking.
