  • Thanks for posting this wonderful example of what humans are capable of being.

  • you're most welcome!

  • Nice Vid, Paul. Do you know when/where this was recorded? It looks like it might have been one of those PBS shows. Based on how healthy Steve looks, I would guess late 70's.

  • @GoodOldGar

Must have been post-'77, because he mentions receiving a 1977 calendar. And it does look like PBS.

  • What a wonderful song.

  • hes..very energetic haha..naa hes verryyy good

  • alright i was just wonderin people dont have to make my comment poor

  • Yeah, he wrote it. The Highwaymen must've covered it then.

  • caus eim pretty sure the highwaymen did

  • did he say he wrote this song?

  • This above all displays the joy with which Steve played his music. It's a wonderful clip, probably the best from the DVD. It might not be the best song musically, but performance-wise I find it hard for anyone to top this. It's just amazing how much energy he puts into this song. I've got a music clip uploaded as well, when he improvises, but it's nothing compared to this. What an entertainer this guy was. I really regret being born too young =(

  • So damn good...I never got to see him, but I feel like I was at every performance.

  • class we'll not see the likes of him again..pity
