I've heard soprano trombones called slide trumpets but I have never seen an actual slide trumpet. That is pretty neat. And on the topic of valve trombones, Superbones have both a slide and valves.

If you're ever in Brussels make sure to visit the museum of musical instruments there - lots of brass instruments by Sax with facinating combinations of valves, slides and even keys. This is one of the great English slide trumpets first appearing at the end of the 18th century - don't confuse this with the earlier Renaissance slide trumpets though.

I would have called this a Baroque Trumpet, the modern variation of the Natural Trumpet. If I'm not mistaken, the short slide is used to compensate for out of tune partials on the Natural Trumpet. It looks like this instrument has a valve too, or am I mistaken?

This particular trumpet appears to be an excellent treble counterpart to the baritone sackbut (ancestor to the Eb trombone).

same here.. so quiet too.

My Music teacher had a baritone looking thing with 6 valves
