  • Hogan was a master at dissecting EXACTLY what it took to be consistent . He study everything. He completely re-taught himself the game after his terrible automobile accident. He may have the hardest working/practicing golfer of all time. Truly someone to learn from. He had a very old-school, almost "cranky", demeanor to people he did not know well.

  • @wasteoftimer ....not so fast my friend......Hogan CERTAINLY knew EXACTLY what he was doing...THOUGHT about it all..not while playing of course..Practice is the time to think.. analyze, try new ideas...NOT while playing..

  • Very interesting video. I bet though that Ben did not analyze his swing this way. The great ones just hit the ball. The amateurs do all the analyzing.

I know we all want to hit the ball like the pros, but having too much in your head can be counterproductive.

I played golf for a couple of years with a scratch player. He scolded me for thinking too much. He said all he thinks about it hitting the ball. That is easy for a talented player, but he made a good point.

  • simply amazing to watch

  • This is a great video! The "sitting position, with weight on the heels" is something I've found key to finding the correct position at top of the swing. Keeping that "sitting position" at the start of the downswing has really helped me hit more solid and powerful shots.

  • great video, thanks for sharing

  • RC I hope you have time to practice this today, you're going to need it !!
