This is a quickie video of a Synthesis Technology MOTM e350 Morphing Terrarium plugged into my 21$ Heath oscilloscope. The XY out is plugged into the x in on the scope, and the Z out is plugged into Y on the scope. Morph X and Y on the e350 are being swept by the smooth outs from 2 wogglebugs. Morph Z is being swept by a sine lfo.

This was done on the spur of the moment, not planned out in any way, and done very quickly. So I didn't check the levels of the cv ins to make sure the complete range was being swept - they probably aren't. The audio is just what my iphone was picking up, noise and all. And please excuse Mr. Shaky Cam - handheld iphones R-us.

I should probably do a real version of this, but I'm not sure it's worth the bother - let me know in the comments if you'd like one.

  • For some reason, this got flagged as possibly having content owned by "Music Publishing Rights Collecting Society". I just want to let everyone know that the single sound heard in this video was completely created by me and all copyrights are also owned by me.

  • beautiful! how many cats did it take to make those waves twist like that?

  • i recommend masturbating to this video.

  • @sduck409 i figured it was around that digit

  • @rhekt I have several options - a dedicated probe set, but what I used for this was just some BNC jacks that were spliced onto regular 1/4" mono jacks that can plug directly into the modules used. Very easy to put together. You could also do something similar with TRS jacks.

  • CooL!

  • That's excellent - you get a real impresion of the display showing 3d objects. Potentialy educational too :o)

  • pleasing in both the aural and visual domains
