Fantastic, the only thing that makes me get out of bed at stupid o'clock in the morning, and now days the only program you can listen to and have a laugh. Long may she continue.

I think the controller of Radio 4 makes absolutely sure that this sad, never-had-a-best-by-date individual produces an hour-and-a-half of dead air on 2 every morning - best way to get folk to listen to Today that I can think of.

I often have to be up around 0600; I will deliberately set the alarm to Radio 2 as nothing wakes me faster than the urge to switch-off this dithery old bat and her ramblings.

Oh, and I'm ex-Forces - have held this opinion since BFBS (maybe even BFN) days.

Generally speaking the people who hated Sarah so much were the Guardian reading left wing pc brigade, who demonstrated their lack of intelligence very clearly as they were unable to either change the station, or locate the off button on the radio! The kind of people who watch a TV show the whole way through then phone in to say how disgusted they were!!!

I hate things like that, if that announcer was giving some sad news about a dead soldier or something, Sarah would've been able to control herself, she chose not to and the whole thing was unprofessional!!

What sort of information on the DG does Kennedy have? Is she related to 'tired and emotional' Charlie of the lib dems? Someone should find out as I've lost count the number of times she's put her foot in her mouth or simply turned up half pished to her job broadcasting to the nation. More toberlone, dear?
