On December 2nd tens of thousands of students from across Greece marched through the capital Athens against education reforms, which will lead to cuts and an increasing privatisation of education. Afterwards more than 1000 of them made their way to the British embassy to express their solidarity with the people struggling against the same symptoms of the global economic system in the UK. As most of you probably know: at about 15 universities students relcaimed spaces and still keep them occupied there. In Britain the next day of action is planned for December 9th.
On the way to the embassy riot police used teargas to stop the demonstration. Five students were detained and at least three more injured. The protests lasted for 7 hours.
why U.S and France are not bombing them like they did to Libyans?!
