The bigger the role the government plays in our lives, the more and stronger the policing agencies have to become to enforce the new rules and regulations. There will always be those of us that stand up to governmental abuses and we have to be beaten into submission. Eventually that leads to overt rebellion in the form of a revolution. Hopefully, in this country, we can do that at the polls. If not, armed revolution occurs. Thus the government is so determined to take our guns & control the net.
