I'd like to think the title speaks for itself.

If you haven't read the 136-page decision by Judge Walker, you should: http://www.ce9.uscourts.gov/prop8/FF_CL_Final.pdf

I would've had this up sooner, but it took me awhile to calm down from watching prop 8 supporters complain about not having their "vote" counted and all the other tripe.

  • Whilst a majority of the bible-thumpers are against gay marriage they were not the only ones to support prop 8 and there are many bible-thumpers who support gay-mariage... myself included. I think it would be a disservice to blame just the bible thumpers for the support and passage of prop 8 while there are a great many who are actually on the right side of this issue. Just my 2 cents tho... =)

While that may be true, it's only the bible-thumping bigots you see complaining about Prop 8 being declared unconstitutional. In fact, I know someone who voted for Prop 8 who was an atheist. However, I don't see him or any other non-fundamentalist whining about it being overturned. (cont.)

  • @stefzula I single out the bible-thumpers because they are ones who are so intent on keeping Prop 8 around and are fighting tooth and nail to do so, not so much anyone else.

BTW, I wouldn't lump you in with the "bible thumpers" I'm referring to : )

  • A gay marriage isn't going to affect that couples lives that voted for prop 8! Religion has no place in the legal system and those people need to learn to mind their own business.

  • @Thereminator101 oh no this NON attorney, kenballer, was actually arguing with an ATTORNEY telling him he was WRONG. I really dont think he actually cares that he is wrong.

  • Idiot bitch

  • Also speaking of...ahem.. "freedom". No ones allowed to court, and/or marry a child (and have it share legally what you have). No one would support marrying and allowing a tree to be someones spouse, or an animal (many bestiality laws exist). The majority will make sure of this aswell. Im not for any of this BTW...in case someone feels the need to project.

  • LOL this kind of thing is normal. You think you have a right to marry anyone you want? No.The constitution says you can have your "rights" taken by due process.Make a law thats against it, then it can be denied.Life and liberty are taken from people all the time because of this. This is how we put criminals in jail for god sakes. The majortiy will ALWAYS make this kind of thing happen. History has proven this over and over again. The best you can do is hope you have the power to stop it.

  • Prop 8 supporters are all a bunch of fags.

  • That guy's shirt should say "Stupid" instead of "Groom", and the girl's shirt should say "Married to Stupid".

  • Why dies this weirdo keep rubbing his wife the whole time while being interviewed. It's the way he's doing it. Like he's comforting a little child or trying to console someone whose just been the victim of an attempted abduction. Seriously if I was in a TV interview it wouldn't cross my mind to keep rubbing my g-friend unless the topic is seriously traumatic. And the "Bride" and "Groom" his&hers T-shorts. What a fucking ass.

  • Someone has a shoulder fetish

  • @TIPinkUnicorn Shouldn't the truth count for something, Anne?

  • @ 'the lame homophobic groom in the sub-video' -- in the United States you don't get to vote and get your way simply because majority agrees with it, but note that if that was the case then we would be living in a form of dictatorship (majority-driven) -- examine & understand (if you're capable) our Constitution and you'll notice supports personal liberty over majority influence, and our court systems exist to (among other things) protect and support the meanings therein
