shelf life:can be stored in the refrigerator for upto 4 days
Ingredients:
2 Cups Rice (preferabally Basmati Rice)
2 Tbsp Oil
2 Tsp Cumin Seeds
1/2 Tsp Mustard seeds (Optional)
Pinch of Asofedita/Hing
Salt to taste
2 Bay Leaves
2 Whole Red Chillies
2 Cinnamon Stick
4-5 Cloves
5-6 Black Pepper Corn
1/4 Tsp Cardamom Seeds
1 sprig Curry leaves
About 3 - 3 1/4 Cups of Water
Your choice of veggies as-much-as you like*
Ingredients for Garnish
Fresh Coconut (grated)
Handful of Raisins and Cashwes fried in Ghee/butter
*Make sure, chop all veggies finely. So Veggies and Rice be done at the same time. Otherwise rice will get cooked fast and veggies might remain uncooked.
(like Potatoes, Peas, Corn, Carrots, Culiflower, Green Beans)
