Actually, Ys originally came for the PC-88 and was then ported to other platforms. I don't think there was a NES version, but it was released on the Sega Master System.

@Clesarie Well, the "madden of rpgs" is basically Books of Ys, it came for NES but it was remaked for a thousand of plataforms

@1204120 Emerald Dragon is like the madden of rpgs. It came out on PC-88, Super famicom, PC engine cd, Sharpe X86000, MSX2 and something else i believe.

i don't mean to be a bag but if you have the japanese(wow i got it just now it was an e not an i) vversoin of emerald dragon but don't know what they are talking about you may have to get the rom and patch it with the language ips made by nightcrawler that was the only way i was able to play it

i have completed the snes version though emulation because of it being in japanise (sorry about the spelling) and after seeing this i am wondering what tamryn and atrushan said and if it is simmallar to the snes counterpart
