One of the ways the AT&T 3G Microcell sucks is that the latency of the audio is bad. Not only is it bad, but it gets worse over the course of a call.

By the way, this video also shows the "instant call fail" problem as well, as the first attempt showed.

The cordless phone on the left is a Vonage line using a Linksys PAP-2. Both that, and the Microcell are connected to the Internet identically.

  • Yeah. The microcell is a big POS! At least I did not have to pay for it.

  • Nitpicking aren't we? I agree that we shouldn't even need to use the MicroCell, but a few milliseconds is nothing compared to having great reception. I haven't experienced the instant call failure, but I can see how that would be annoying. How bad does it get over an hour or more call I wonder.

  • Hell, I've had mine almost 6 months and it never has worked at ALL. Giving it a go again right now! LOL, it won't work, stupid POS. All I got from the damn thing was stuck with AT&T for another year!

  • I checked out your microcell sucks site. Thanks for the info. I really appreciate it.
