When turning the TV on after it has been off for a few hours, the picture does not appear and the TV cycles on and off until the picture displays properly. I didn't touch the remote after turning everything on at the beginning of the clip.

  • So, I replaced the y-main board and it made no difference. :( Not sure what I'm going to try next, but I'll keep you all updated here.

  • I have the same TV and the exact same problem. Did you ever find a resolution?... I want to start looking into getting mine fixed. Any tips our leads you might have would be great... the noise is going to give my guinea pigs a heart attack soon :)

  • @BillyLukes I haven't found a resolution yet, but I think I'm getting close. I tried replacing the power supply board and the main board, but that didn't help. So, I am assuming the issue is with the y-main, which I am going to try next. I'll post an update when I get around to it.

  • I have the same issue. CAN NOT find a confirmed fix online. Have you been able to fix yours?

  • AAAAAHHHHHHHWWW same tv and same issue. Not the easy and common capacitor problem most people have with Samsung.

  • I've been having this same problem. I just posted a video of my TV.

Samsung has been no help and told me they have not seen this problem with their plasmas.

  • @ckdisco I have the exact same problem, for now I just put the TV on a 20 minutes before I use it. If a y-sustain board works for you, I will probably try the same thing. Otherwise I will probably buy a new TV since a 55 inch can be had for around $500.
