Versus and NBC need to give up. ESPN and ABC need to get their contracts back. Bring the Wings back to national televesion every Saturday afternoon. I miss that ol Wings/Avs rivalry, and the best part? IT WAS ON ABC!

What happened was in 2005, ESPN was offering the NHL a revenue-share agreement on aired games (ex: if ESPN made $57 million in revenue from NHL Games, the NHL would get $45 million). However, Versus (formerly OLN) offered the NHL $250 million dollars upfront; and since the NHL was in dire need of money, they dropped ESPN like a lead balloon and signed with Versus.
