The instrumental version lets you fully appreciate the last minute and a half of this song, one of the best Simple Minds moments. Glasgow has this song, which one could have never thought up for London.

@mk2007al i agree sometimes i like it more to listen only instrumental not that i find the singing bad, depends on my mood and my feeling.

The last part of this song is brilliant, with Mick and Charlie building a great climax. Actually better without Jim shouting through it.

Agreed! As a budding musician back in high school I thought this was a MAGICAL record with very interesting musical ideas in it--away from the lyrics. Glad to be able to study the music solely right here.

I hear you. Well on the contrary, in instrumental versions you can concentrate on the musicians more, especially their timing.
