that's a stupid statement to make.

It's true that the first shot must hit the backboard, but that doesn't count when it's a flick.

When you flick the ball, your allowed to shoot it in the net.

And this shot is obviously a flick, you don't know anything about the hockeygame, do you?

I always wonder this about field hockey. What if when taking a penalty corner the ball flies off the stick and hits someone on the face? I see everyone but the goalie has an unprotected face yet the Paki's were charging as the Aussies were about to hit it.

@zaindy87 Well that's why you have corner masks now for the players in the goal, because it's just a big risk for the players.

@zaindy87 Depends on who's stick it came off. Chances are if its a dragflick and the runner goes straight at the flicker that there is going to be blood and penalty flick.

@zaindy87 meh we deal with it plus the people who are running towards the person flicking the ball is less likely to be injured than the people standing on the post. We now also have protective masks which im sure we did back then but they are more commonly used now.

@zaindy87 it happens on rare occasions but if the first two runner run hard they get into a zone where the ball cant possibly hit them in the face and the two posties (two defensive players who guard the post) will wear face masks and boxes to protect the jewels its not that painful to be hit on the leg or anywhere really its a sudden pain then it goes away after 10minutes (ive been on the receiving end of a couple to the kneecaps

@ANAVRYTAHO haha im a chick goalie and i hate crutch protectors lol never ever wear them lol...haha the first time u get hit there u learn pretty quick with reflexes lol...the first time i got hit there i was on the ground and a chick threw a spaz at me and whacked me there with her stick lol now thats ouchi seeming shes a woman and im a teen lol
