UPDATE: I sent the XO with the problem back to the company and they replaced it with a new one. So not really any DIY fix available.

My G1G1 (or rather G2G2) XO has a malfunctioning touchpad. It has never worked properly like the other one. Not shown in video: I have tried the entire process without the power supply connected, no change in performance. Please comment if you are experiencing similar difficulties or know of a solution.

  • hey i got a problem sometimes my touch pad didnt work properly, so i ussed to fix it by restarting the computer and etc.

but now ist working properly, barely can move it and when i can move it it goes kinda crazy.

  • How do i go in my setting for Touchpad

    I have XP

    anyone knows Plz ?

  • I just got mine^wmy daughter's, and had the same problem. Plugging in a usb mouse seemed to fix it.

So now I guess my only problem is that they seem to have forgotten to include a power cord...

  • Two numbers.

G1G1 stands for the Give one Get one, where you can buy an XO laptop for yourself, and another one would be donated.

  • Try rebooting it like for instance like if u just bought it. just erase every thing u got and start it again, maybe thats ur problem if not well... i think u got to stick with the USB mouse sorry.

  • Get the Developer key(s) and/or Activation key(s)for your unit.

Plus, you could try making a back up copy of the unit that works properly and boot it on the other one.

  • get a pen or make sure your'e pressing prettyy hard with your finger otherwise yiu should be happy with the mouse

  • Thats really weird :(
