@teaandcrumpetsallday not really true!
Consider Jorge Campos who was 5ft 6 and he was amazing, very quick.
also i can guarantee that some small keepers can get to the upper corners FASTER then taller keeps (if thats what you mean), and in more style. I do think that their chances are lower to become a major league player, but only because people think that smaller goalies aren't good even though they can be!

@stlouisgoalkeeping I'm actually working really intensive 4 times per weak in my academy I'm 6.2 feet and I'm in the professional age 16 and am a professional keeper... I'm seeking as fast as I can to come in this academy but I need the location in what state of US actually am in europe :)

@patar49 his height is a negative factor, a keeper at 5ft 8 has got no chance to become a major league player, hes simply too small.

hey coach i have a question. when u dive what part of ur body do u land on? like when the ball is in the air and i dive for it, what part of my body should i land on?

you should start by making sure the ball is the very first thing that hits the floor. Even before any part of your body. then your body should hit the floor in this order: forearm, tricep, shoulder, side of your torso, hip, outer thigh, outside of the knee, outer shin and finally the foot. somewhere in my favorite videos, there is a couple of videos from a dutch coach demonstrating the technique very well as well as a german goalkeeper in slow motion. both are quality looks at the technique

how is he doing now?

he is struggling a bit to find playing time in his team. a combination of a chronic knee injury and a coaching staff that doesn't really know that much about goalkeeping....but regardless of the situation, these are the challenges he must overcome.
