Which pipes are you talking about? If you mean the ones near the cat section, they actually are. You're looking at Motordyne ART Pipes, which utilize Helmholtz resonance chambers that have been proven to assist in exhaust scavenging. If you're referring to the ones at the back end, then you're right. That far away from the exhaust manifold, they simply eliminate unwanted frequencies and drone.

i might just be dumb, but i know a fair amount about cars, but what benefit does those two extra hidden pipes do? sound? cuz its not helping your performance if you think it does lol =/
