------------

My arrangement of a great standard by Jule Styne (you can also watch my version of his "People" on my channel), please don't mistake it for Cyndi Lauper's song.

This song appeared for the first time in the film "It Happened in Brooklyn", sung by Kathyn Grayson and Frank Sinatra. I used to listen to it in a veeeery old record player when I was a child in a very weird version sung by Placido Dominigo (¿?).

I've tried to give it a slight swing rythm, but...

I hope you like it.

  • Excellently done!!!!! ...in C no less!

  • @Jazzaire

Thanks so much, my friend! Well, let's say my approach to the arrangements is so intuitive and primitive that I don't plan a specific tone before starting... I just start playing and try to look for solutions to the problems I find.... (and not always I find them, btw...). Thanks again, mate.

  • Bravo, bravo, bravo.( Me pongo de pie). Excelente arreglo mi amigo. Un gran abrazo desde México.

  • @arthurerules

Mil gracias por el cumplido, amigo, y un abrazo también te mando para allá.

  • have you ever thought of going overseas and doing a live performance? i'm sure it will be a blast.. come to Indonesia, my beloved country, it's a beautiful place where people loves music & enjoys good art such as your guitar playing

What a delightful offer! I'm afraid I'm a humble amateur, my friend, I feel ashamed even playing for my family... I simply enjoy reading your comments and knowing you're enjoying my music, I don't need anything else. Perhaps if I get better in the future I encourage myself to record something more seriously, but I'd have to practice much more, I'm afraid... Thanks a lot for your positive feedback, Tommy!

  • @chamacojesus I agree with wollstonecraft51 you will bring so much joy to your audience, even if in just an informal setting to begin with. Anyway, youtube is a fine platform too!
