As part of the It Can Wait campaign to stop texting while driving, mobile application developers gathered for the AT&T Mobile App Hackathon. In this event they had access to the latest cutting edge technology that can be used to create innovative applications. Developers were challenged to come up with apps to help stop the problem of texting while driving.

Some of the event's app ideas included "Rode Dog," an app that would continuously remind you to turn off your phone by barking at you and "SMSHog," an app that allows people to call attention to their friends that Text and Drive.
